someday
we're going to head back down south
it'll be a holiday this time
just you, me, and the bayou
we'll grab a drink at shamrock
play a game of jenga
then speed off down the highway
into the night
visit the places that we used to
back when we had no idea
how our paths would diverge
and then intertwine once again
live that summer over again
only this time, we do it right
the way we didn't know how to
the way we couldn't have, anyway
city park, taking photos downtown
cochon and mopho and froyo
dancing at the republic
visiting our friend collette
someday
when this is all over
when it's just you and me
we're going to have a life together
